5 Ways To Increase Productivity When You're Working From Home
Long-tail Keywords- Why You Need to Focus on Them?
Keywords can be either short-tail or long-tail. Short keywords or keyphrases, often referred to as head words come with generic meaning like, "men’s dress", "online furniture", etc. As long-tail keywords are longer and specific, they are used to show a particular concept, such as "cheap women’s shoes", "jungle safari in India", "affordable resorts in Bali" and more.
People who are new into SEO are unfamiliar with the long-tail keywords concept and fail to understand what potential these phrases hold. Once an expert finds out what long-tail keywords can help online businesses, there is no turning back. If you want your business to flourish, ask your hired professionals offering SEO consultant services in London to have a good understanding of long-tail keywords benefits and tap into it. Take a look at their hidden capabilities. Less competition The longer the keyword is, the lesser sites you will get to match it. Thus, it is less competitive in nature, making it easier to achieve high rank in the search engines. Instead of trying to fetch a rank for "men’s clothes", it is easier to get ranks for "French designer men’s clothes". The latter has the ability to appear in the top 10. Real traffic A single long-tail keyword is not enough to get you plenty of keywords, but do not forget that long-tail can work like wonders. If "men’s dress" and "designer dress" are the main head words, these can be extended to different long-tail keywords, and altogether, it leads to almost thirty-five per cent of traffic or maybe more. Better targeted traffic Keywords are used to describe a particular trait or feature of an object. The better it describes a product or services, the chances of finding the product or services increase. The visitors may end up on your business website typing the long keyphrases that you are targeting. Better conversion rates There are users who search on the Internet using specific terms rather than generic terms. Normally, long-tails fetch in more and more visitors who get convert into leads. Hence, investing in long-tail keywords is a surefire way to get ROI. Long-tail keywords include short-tail keywords In long-tail keywords, you will already find short keyphrases. For instance, "Gucci designer women’s purse" already has "women’s purse" nuclear term in it. In this way, you can target a wider base of audience. Easier to optimise It becomes easier to do on-page optimisation if you are settling for long-tail keywords. This is because you do not need plenty of long-tail key phrases on a page, just a couple of them is enough. Rather than incorporating several short phrases on a page, you can go for a few long phrases, improving user experience and conversions. Suitable for PPC Many SEO consultants would say that long-tails are mostly used for PPC. In Pay Per Click, you need to pay each time when an individual clicks on your ad. If you bid on generic terms, you will have fewer click-through rates and fewer conversions, which will lead to money wastage on ill-targetted traffic. Once, you start bidding on specific terms that describe your product or services in a better way, you are likely to grab the eyeballs of the right visitors to your website. Long-tails beat personalisation Nowadays, search results are getting personalised. It is becoming custom-tailored to a user’s sex, age, location, interest and more. People searching for one or the same keyword may see various search results on the Internet. However, with the help of long-tail keywords, you can optimise the website for different users. For example, you can have separate pages for "designer women’s purse" or "designer men’s shoes", so that visitors know which page is suitable for them. As you can see there are plenty of reasons to optimise your website for long key phrases. The mistakes that novices do is avoid these phrases and miss out some of the best SEO opportunities. Now that you know how useful these keywords are, take them into heed and put them into action. |

Why do you need SEO?
Everyone wants traffic and sales. Simple. However, not everyone knows what it takes to actually succeed in that. Do you?
As with everything in life and digital marketing, there isn’t one legitimate solution to everything. It may be tempting to reach for the shiny and promising marketing tools like Search Engine Optimization, but first and foremost you should start with the "Why". Why do you want to implement SEO on your website? Define what are your business goals, and only then you’ll know which channels it will take to reach them. "Why do need SEO?" "Well, you should know, right? Rank high in Google." "OK. Why do you want to rank high in Google?" "To get more traffic to my site." "Uh-huh. And why do you want more traffic?" "Duh. To get more sales, obviously." "Right. Now we’re talking!" When we talk about Search Engine Optimization, there are a lot of assumptions, leading people to think that it will automatically increase sales. However, that may not always be the case. "SEO"or any other channel alone isn’t The Holy Grail of digital marketing. What if your landing page design is sloppy? What if your content doesn’t appeal to your visitors? Or your checkout process is too challenging? What if people aren’t just ready to buy from you yet, and you don’t set up any retargeting or follow-up through marketing automation? There are a lot of "what if" questions you should consider before reaching for SEO to get more traffic, leads and ultimately sales. To fundamentally define how it will be possible for you to reach a certain target, you should consider all aspects that go into the making of that goal. SEO is just one out of the many digital marketing tools. Surely, it can have a great impact on increasing traffic and generate sales. Nevertheless, in the end, it’s not about the tools. It’s about reaching goals. How do we work? We like to know our customers’ ambitions, and then pick the right mix of tools to help them get there. Once the sales or leads start coming in, or whatever goals they set are being achieved, they often couldn’t care less about the tools used. |

Types of hosting
Internet hosting services can run Web servers. The scope of web hosting services varies greatly.
Shared web hosting service One's website is placed on the same server as many other sites, ranging from a few sites to hundreds of websites. Typically, all domains may share a common pool of server resources, such as RAM and the CPU. The features available with this type of service can be quite basic and not flexible in terms of software and updates. Resellers often sell shared web hosting and web companies often have reseller accounts to provide hosting for clients. Reseller web hosting Allows clients to become web hosts themselves. Resellers could function, for individual domains, under any combination of these listed types of hosting, depending on who they are affiliated with as a reseller. Resellers' accounts may vary tremendously in size: they may have their own virtual dedicated server to a colocated server. Many resellers provide a nearly identical service to their provider's shared hosting plan and provide the technical support themselves. Virtual Dedicated Server Also known as a Virtual Private Server (VPS), divides server resources into virtual servers, where resources can be allocated in a way that does not directly reflect the underlying hardware. VPS will often be allocated resources based on a one server to many VPSs relationship, however virtualisation may be done for a number of reasons, including the ability to move a VPS container between servers. The users may have root access to their own virtual space. Customers are sometimes responsible for patching and maintaining the server (unmanaged server) or the VPS provider may provide server admin tasks for the customer(managed server). Dedicated hosting service The user gets his or her own Web server and gains full control over it (user has root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, the user typically does not own the server. One type of dedicated hosting is self-managed or unmanaged. This is usually the least expensive for dedicated plans. The user has full administrative access to the server, which means the client is responsible for the security and maintenance of his own dedicated server. Managed hosting service The user gets his or her own Web server but is not allowed full control over it (user is denied root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, they are allowed to manage their data via FTP or other remote management tools. The user is disallowed full control so that the provider can guarantee quality of service by not allowing the user to modify the server or potentially create configuration problems. The user typically does not own the server. The server is leased to the client. Colocation web hosting service Similar to the dedicated web hosting service, but the user owns the colo server; the hosting company provides physical space that the server takes up and takes care of the server. This is the most powerful and expensive type of web hosting service. In most cases, the colocation provider may provide little to no support directly for their client's machine, providing only the electrical, Internet access, and storage facilities for the server. In most cases for colo, the client would have his own administrator visit the data center on site to do any hardware upgrades or changes. Formerly, many colocation providers would accept any system configuration for hosting, even ones housed in desktop-style minitower cases, but most hosts now require rack mount enclosures and standard system configurations. Cloud hosting This is a new type of hosting platform that allows customers powerful, scalable and reliable hosting based on clustered load-balanced servers and utility billing. A cloud hosted website may be more reliable than alternatives since other computers in the cloud can compensate when a single piece of hardware goes down. Also, local power disruptions or even natural disasters are less problematic for cloud hosted sites, as cloud hosting is decentralized. Cloud hosting also allows providers to charge users only for resources consumed by the user, rather than a flat fee for the amount the user expects they will use, or a fixed cost upfront hardware investment. Alternatively, the lack of centralization may give users less control on where their data is located which could be a problem for users with data security or privacy concerns. Clustered hosting Having multiple servers hosting the same content for better resource utilization. Clustered servers are a perfect solution for high-availability dedicated hosting, or creating a scalable web hosting solution. A cluster may separate web serving from database hosting capability. (Usually web hosts use clustered hosting for their shared hosting plans, as there are multiple benefits to the mass managing of clients. Grid hosting This form of distributed hosting is when a server cluster acts like a grid and is composed of multiple nodes. Home server Usually a single machine placed in a private residence can be used to host one or more web sites from a usually consumer-grade broadband connection. These can be purpose-built machines or more commonly old PCs. Some ISPs actively attempt to block home servers by disallowing incoming requests to TCP port 80 of the user's connection and by refusing to provide static IP addresses. A common way to attain a reliable DNS host name is by creating an account with a dynamic DNS service. A dynamic DNS service will automatically change the IP address that a URL points to when the IP address changes. Some specific types of hosting provided by web host service providers: 1.File hosting service: hosts files, not web pages 2.image hosting service 3.Video hosting service 4.Blog hosting service 5.Paste bin 6.Shopping cart software 7.E-mail hosting service |

Website Architecture: Things to know before starting your next website design project
Are you planning to develop a new website for your company or for the client of your agency? Keeping in mind website performance and SEO it's really important to have a good website architecture. Good website architecture can make your website perfectly and a bad website architecture can break your website completely. It provides maximum performance to your website and helps around 30% in every SEO campaign. In 2020 if you are developing a website you must have to focus on website architecture at the beginning of every website development project.
The website architecture process is a little critical for a big website. In this process we plan and design website technical components, functionalities, visual components of site and flow of the website. Web architecture is crafted before designing, developing and deployment of websites. Designers & Developers use it and develop websites according to website architecture. Great website architecture is not only for SEO and Performance, it also helps us in developing a user-friendly website. Structuring your website in a proper way allows web users to navigate the website easily and retaining the attention of users on the site. If our website is not structured properly, the user will bounce back in just a few seconds and if our website has a messy structure, the search engine will not give our website high value. If you want to build a website that engages the audience and rank your website higher in the search engine, this post is for you which covers all of the points that you require for a great website. Why is Website Architecture Important? A great website architecture increases the potential of your website, it strengthens user experience, website performance and search engine rankings, when you structure your website in an instinctive way users can find information easily on your website that they are looking for and if website user experience is strong search engine ranking will come up higher too as search engines like Google algorithms are more focused to website technical site. Furthermore, a strong website architecture helps search engine bots to crawl websites more effectively. Define your website goals Before jumping into the sea, it's important to know how deep it is, same for the web development you must be aware of the intent of your website, what's the purpose of your website? Are you going to sell products? Are you selling your services? So for developing a website, you must be clear about your idea, whatever is your idea is you should have full grip on it so you will not lose track in your way that is why you are creating a website. The best approach to remain focused on your idea is first to understand your end-user who is going to use your services or buying products in the future. Do a complete research on your idea and if you feel that this idea has more potential then go for it; maybe you have great ideas in your head still researching your idea gives you more confidence in you, taking interviews and surveys will help you a lot in this. Sketch a website hierarchy before developing the website Starting a website development project from scratch? Then you are in a great position to give your website a proper structure that gives the best performance to your website. Before design and developing web pages in CMS or by custom coding sketch hierarchy of your website in a paper or Excel, Word, OmniGraffle SharePoint etc. Website hierarchy is not some hard coding it's just a mapping that helps you to organize all of your web pages in a pattern which you later design and develop easily. This hierarchy you will later convert into URL structure so its important to have a fully optimized and effective website hierarchy. Try to make it simple as much as you can as website hierarchy is the beginning of great website architecture. Design URL Structure of the whole website Create website deep navigation Structure Website Internal linking Create all your important pages in the header. Mobile Navigation Key Components That Every Website Needs As we have already talked about website architecture and hierarchy, there are some other important components that every website should implement in order to provide easy access to important information. Here are some basic elements that every site should integrate. Homepage - A well-defined layout for the homepage that contains all your important information on different sections. About Page - A well written about a page that showcases your glorious past and talks about your future plans. Contact Us - An ideal contact page has an office address, phone numbers, map and contact form. Services & Product Pages - If you are selling services or products makes sure you should create pages for it. Pages should be attractive and should contain a call to action section. Legal Pages - If you are selling either services or products makes sure to add important legal pages like privacy policy, terms & condition, copyright notices and disclaimer. Mobile-Friendly - Nowadays, a website without mobile-friendly design is a big no. You will lose so many potentials users or clients if your website looks weird on mobile devices. Website Speed - According to google, they take care of website speed a lot in terms of SEO ranking factors. But we should take care of this matter seriously because your website is visited by humans and if your website doesn’t load properly then they will leave the website. In technical terms, it is called the bounce rate, the higher the bounce rate the more bad effect it can leave on your rankings as well as early user exit. Conclusion It is very important to set up your website architecture by following the above guide, if you want to impress Google and users. Once you take care of this matter efficiently then you experience a huge volume of inquiries and sales. At the end of the day, always create a website by keeping in mind the people and not for search engine bots. |

Is it Time for a Website Makeover?
8 Critical Reasons to Update Your Website
I’m sure you’ve been on the hunt for a specific product or service and have come across a website that looked old and stale.
What did you feel in your gut when you landed on it? What was your first impression? I’m guessing it wasn't good, and I’d also bet you didn’t buy anything. Much like your wardrobe, websites need to be freshened up from time to time. That doesn’t mean that you need to completely overhaul everything, but many business owners don't spend enough time keeping their most important marketing tool up to date. Here are 8 reasons you may want to consider a website makeover: 1. It doesn’t make a good first impression. That starter online business you built a few years back may be out of date now or come across as unprofessional looking by today's standards. You only have a few seconds to impress your visitors, so having a site that is appealing, engaging and professional is a must. Creating a fresh look and feel for your online business is a smart investment that will definitely pay off sooner rather than later. A more polished look can also help you attract and retain a higher level of clientele or reach a new target audience. 2. Your competition looks much better. You should have analyzed your competition as part of your business plan and should also be doing so on an ongoing basis as part of your marketing efforts. When you take a look at your competitors, are you relieved because you know your site is amazing, or are you blown away by how much more professional theirs looks? Your potential clients are comparison shopping. The Internet makes it so easy for people to compare before buying, putting the burden on you to keep your web pages inviting and easy to navigate. Notice how we set up one of our client’s sites for easy navigation and incorporated their brand colour into the headings and buttons. When you land on genieseniorservices.ca, you’ll quickly find what you’re looking for, without having to scroll through pages of content or puzzle over menu items. We can’t say the same for their competitors! 3. Your sales are suffering. There are so many reasons you may be losing out on leads or sales, so you can’t automatically think it’s a visual issue if you’re not getting conversions. That said, oftentimes a poor layout and content is what’s keeping you from converting visitors into loyal customers. A report by Stanford found that three-quarters of people judge a company by their web design. People aren’t going to buy from you if they don’t trust you. How you present your business to the world matters. 4. You haven’t updated your tech. If your site was built in WordPress or using a different content management system (CMS), you have to upgrade to the latest version of the software. Similarly, if you have an old shopping cart system (open source or a purchased system) that isn’t maintained by a web developer, you’re opening up your site—and your reputation—to hackers. By continuously installing the latest security patches, you can stop hackers from infiltrating your site and causing chaos. The more secure you make your web pages, the better protected against data breaches you are. This safeguards not only your info, but your customers’ info. It also keeps cybercriminals from sending spam or installing viruses via your server. 5. It's not mobile-friendly. According to Statista, mobile now accounts for approximately half of web traffic worldwide. If your site isn’t mobile friendly, it could be costing you leads and sales. A website redesign can ensure your online business is smartphone- and tablet-friendly, with a responsive design that is a breeze to navigate no matter the size of the screen your visitor is on. 6. You’ve changed your focus. It’s natural for businesses to shift over time, as you develop new products and services, target new demographics or learn from your mistakes. Your target market should be the driving force behind what your web pages look like, and it should also influence the kind of content you offer. Your website makeover may include a new look and feel to match your changing marketing plan. Don’t forget things like incorporating updated credentials into your bio, adding new employee info or changing contact info after a move. Your best marketing tool, by far, is your website. It should be visited and adored by your audience! To reach this celebrity status, it needs to be the central focus of all of your marketing efforts. You want to be where prospects come to learn about you, to decide if they can trust you and to ultimately become invested in your brand. Learn how to optimize and nurture your site so that you can attract fans and drive leads and sales. Read "How to Make Your Website a Star" on our website. 7. It’s time to declutter. Over time, sites can become complicated, jumbled and less effective. Just like it’s a good idea to go through your closet and get rid of things you don’t wear anymore, it’s beneficial to keep your web pages lean and clean. An improved site structure is great for SEO (search engine optimization). A website redesign can really improve your architecture, image and page names, content and meta tags so that everything is more SEO friendly. Not only that, but your customers will appreciate the better user experience a simpler layout and navigation provides. They’ll more easily find what they’re looking for without being confused or distracted. Check out how real estate platform Zillow seamlessly offers people four options on their homepage: enter info into the search box, buy, sell or rent. The navigation is eye-catching yet basic enough to keep visitors focused. 8. Social media functionality is lacking. If your site was built a few years ago, you might not be optimally set up to connect with customers on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Adding social sharing buttons allows readers to share your content, which increases brand awareness and visibility plus SEO. Another benefit: you can instantly share offers and deals with customers who are ready to buy. At eVision, we love our social sharing buttons! They pop up on the left-hand side of our blog articles as well as under the date to make it almost effortless for people to share valuable content. There are so many advantages to doing a website redesign. An improved look and feel is more likely to convert visitors into customers, Google loves freshly updated pages for SEO, hackers aren’t as likely to get into your server...the list goes on and on! Don’t neglect your appearance online! Putting the time and energy into properly maintaining your web pages does make a difference—to your business, brand and customers. A professional web and marketing firm can transform your site into a powerful online sales tool for your business. Let eVision Media freshen up the look of your web pages to help increase conversions, make them mobile-friendly and boost SEO. |

Get More Website Leads & Grow Your Sales
9 Easy Ways to Increase Online Conversions
So you’ve built a great website with professionally designed graphics, user-friendly navigation and compelling content. But instead of the steady stream of traffic and purchases you were expecting, you’re not even getting a trickle. So what gives? Too many entrepreneurs and small business owners have an "If you build it, they will come" mentality. They think that building something that looks nice is all they need to do to attract buyers. The truth is that creating a website, no matter how visually appealing, isn’t even half the battle. The hardest work comes after your site is up and running, when it’s time to market your product or service, engage potential customers and convert them into leads and sales. Whether you’re struggling to get eyes on your offerings, build your list, or want to grow your sales, these tips will help you effectively utilize the best marketing tool you have: your website. 1. Look under the hood. Is there something technically wrong? There are many wannabe developers out there who don’t understand what it takes to build a robust, responsive site. Follow the path a customer would take from the time they land on your home page, throughout the whole buying process. There could be an error message when you try to put a certain product in your shopping cart, or a 404 page where your shipping and returns info should be. Be sure to check your site on several different browsers and devices too, ensuring the responsiveness looks good everywhere and not just on the typical browser you use. Checking your site speed is a good place to start. If a page takes forever to load, people aren’t going to wait around. Get insight into your site speed here. 2. Pay close attention to your headline. The average web surfer who’s using a search engine visits approximately 25 sites in only 3-4 minutes. That’s not much time to grab someone’s attention. To increase online conversions and grow your sales: ● Avoid saying "Welcome to my website…" or other fluffy space-wasters. You don’t want to spend your precious seconds on words that don’t encourage visitors to take action. ● Be short and sweet. Your headline is not the place to cram in every detail. Focus on 6-12 words that contain your target keywords to capture interest. ● Get descriptive. Using a thesaurus is the perfect way to come up with some different ways of saying things that will tap into people’s emotions. Think beyond words like "good" and "great" and get your visitors excited. 3. Show people how your product or service will benefit them. Don’t get caught up in explaining the mechanics of what you’re selling. Instead, answer the questions your visitors will have, such as: How will it change people’s lives for the better? Why do they need it? Tap into your visitors’ pain points, and tell them the right story in a video, blog post, headline... Here’s an example from one of our clients, the Financial Recovery Institute. Instead of telling people the course names or how she teaches, Karen describes the benefits they’ll get from taking Money Coach Training. 4. Inspire your visitors to take action. Using tangible action verbs can help increase online conversions. Get your visitors excited about whatever it is you’re selling, and include a sense of urgency. For example, instead of saying "Register Now" for a webinar, you could use "Save Your Seat Here". Rather than "Get the course" for a program you teach, try something like "Start Learning Today". Create more enticing value propositions than simply "Buy it" or "Shop now" to motivate people to take advantage of your offer. 5. Have strong calls to action. Whether it’s filling out an online form or clicking a button, tell your users what you want them to do next. Like your headline and body copy, your CTAs should be succinct and benefit-driven. That said, don’t put CTAs everywhere in your body copy, thinking that more is better. You want one main call to action per page or "action" you want someone to take, not one stuffed into each paragraph of content. Read Smart Calls-to-Action for Every Buying Stage to Maximize Conversions. Have you ever wondered why some websites convert better than others? You can have the best copywriting in the world but if you don’t have effective calls-to-action on each page, you won’t get the sale. This article provides effective example calls-to-action to reach shoppers at every stage of the buying cycle to boost conversions. 6. Make it easy for visitors to give you info. People don’t like filling out long forms to download an eBook or sign up for email newsletters. Popular digital marketing entrepreneur Neil Patel boosted his conversion rate on NeilPatel.com by 26% just by removing one form field. To get more website leads, ask for what you want in as few fields as possible. We ask our visitors for only a name and email address before giving them our free Ultimate Guide on improving profitability and conversions. 7. Make the right visual impression. It’s time to take stock of your stock photos, and to look long and hard at the images you’re using to represent your brand. Your visual brand should be consistent throughout all of your marketing materials, from your blog imagery to your email newsletter pics. Too many small business owners use tacky stock photos or low-quality images simply because they’re easy and available to them. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and none of those words are going to be "leads" or "sales" if you don’t carefully choose the imagery that’s representing your brand. And please, speaking of stock photos – never, whether on your website, in social media or your newsletters, use a stock photo that hasn’t been purchased and still has the watermark on it. Not only is this very unprofessional looking, it is also an illegal use of the stock photo and you could be fined if found out. 8. Use reviews and testimonials as social proof. We use social proof each day to navigate our decisions—online and in the real world. Here’s a real-world example: when you’re choosing somewhere to eat, are you tempted more by the lively restaurant full of happy customers, or the empty one across the street? Now, think about how you buy online. I’m sure you’ve used a review—positive or negative—to influence a decision. Research from BrightLocal shows that positive reviews make 91% of consumers more likely to use a business, while 82% will be put off by negative reviews. And, the average consumer reads 10 reviews before feeling able to trust a local business. One unique way that online marketing platform TrustPulse.com gives buyers social proof is by dynamically sharing the name and location of people who have signed up for their services. 9. Never stop testing and tweaking. To get more website leads, you need to know what works and what doesn’t. Use A/B testing to serve up visitors different versions of your site, or try a variety of headlines over the span of several months. Remember, what helps one site owner increase online conversions might fail miserably for another. It can be a challenge to successfully create the most compelling copy, imagery and calls to action, so consider hiring a professional marketing company to help you get results. Whatever method you use, you’re going to have to try, test and try some more...getting the right formula to grow your sales is an ongoing process. To your business success, Susan |
